7 Game Changing Beauty Buys

Happy Friday friends!

What a week we have had! We crossed off our first summer bucket list item over the weekend: strawberry picking! (It was such a great time. It's definitely going to be a summer tradition for us.) We've had a few pool visits, a zoo dates, family day at Wrigley field, homemade popsicles and so much more.

I'm so excited to share seven beauty buys that have been total game changers for me. While I have my tried and true faves, I always enjoy trying new products, too. One of my intentions for this year was to work on prioritizing self care and finding some great new (and safe!) products that are taking care of me and helping me feel good has been fun. I never like to give my opinion on a product until I've had time to really use it and see how I do with it. These are all items I have been using for a while now and I am seriously in love with.

Coola Organic Scalp and Hair Mist SPF 30: When I saw this, I bought it immediately. Olivia has a strong aversion to hats and I always worry about her sweet little head getting sunburned. The spray is really easy to apply and the smell is absolutely incredible. I am obsessed with it.  Since the spray can make your hair look a little wet, it's perfect for pool and beach days, but we have used it for long zoo and park trips, too. The ingredients are also totally safe which is extremely important to me; especially when it comes to anything touching my girl's sweet skin!

Coola Sun Silk Drops SFP 30: One of my self care goals this year was to be better about applying sunscreen daily. When I saw these silk drops I knew I had to try them. They seem nothing like sunscreen and I love it that way. Not too thick, nothing greasy or smelly or anything that remotely resembles traditional sunscreen. It feels more like a serum; the consistency is really lightweight and it goes on smooth and absorbs quickly- no sticky cheeks waiting to dry or anything that competes with makeup. It's dreamy.

(Side note: we did also start using their non-aerosol spray sunscreen a couple months ago as well and we love that one too! Delicious scent, fast absorbing, safe ingredients and no sun burns <3 )

Agent Nateur Deodorant: I started using this earlier this year and it quickly became one of my favorite finds. Non toxic deodorants are such an important beauty product to invest in. Chris is using the men's version (it smells soooo good!!) and he really loves it too. He was skeptical that a "natural" deodorant wouldn't work well enough for his very active lifestyle but he is a total convert now! :) I am equally in love with the women's version and love the scent from this collab. It's a smooth consistency that applies easily and leaves me feeling fresh all day.

RMS Beauty Un Cover Up Concealer: I had been hearing about this line for a while and was intrigued but skeptical. Natural beauty and skin care lines haven't historically given me as good of results as their not-so-great-for you counterparts. Something told me to just give this a try...and  let me just tell you I am OBSESSED with this concealer. It is so lightweight and really hydrating. It's coconut oil based which makes it a great consistency for me, and according to the brand, it's great for all skin types. You never have to worry about it looking cakey or dry, it feels light and leaves your skin dewy.  I prefer a pretty natural makeup look for myself and this is really perfect for covering dark circles and blemishes and feeling fresh but not too made up. You need to check it out asap. (I use shade 11 for reference.)

RMS Beauty Signature Set Pop Collection: I ordered this when I got the concealer to try a couple of other products I was interested in. I thought the smaller quantities would be a great way to see if I really wanted to invest in any of them. The luminizer in Magic is one of my favorites. It gives such a pretty and natural looking glow. I also love the lip to cheek in Demure. A little goes a long way and I love that it's versatile. (The red that came in the quad isn't really my color but might be for you!) I didn't love the bronzer as much as I had hoped. The color didn't quite seem right for me so I'm still using my long time steady.

T3 Whirl Trio Styling Wand: I had been using the same curling iron since college and was deserpately due for a new one. I ordered this at the end of last year and I feel like it has been a total game changer for me. The wand gets hot really quickly which makes getting ready in 5 minutes even easier. And the curls last so long! I can definitely go a day between washes with it looking good. I usually use the 1" or the tapered wand but do have the bigger barrel for looser waves too. It's definitely an investment but it's one of the best things I've treated myself to and for how often I use it, I am confident I have already gotten my money's worth.

Mason Pearson Hair Brush: Ok, this is possibly the most indulgent purchase I have made for myself. As with the T3, this is an investment piece. Spending over $100 on a hairbrush can feel a little out of touch...and I wrestled with it for a while. I read tons of reviews and testimonials and finally decided to give it a try. I can tell you it is one of the best things I did for my hair. I ordered mine when I ordered my new wand and I can't even tell you the difference I notice in my hair. I have very fine (and color treated obviously!) hair that tangles (and breaks!) easily and I felt like towards the end of the year my hair had gotten a little sad. I needed to take a little better care of it and this brush has been a big part of that. I didn't realize it's not normal to have the pulling, painful bushing that I always had. There is none of that with this detangler brush. This brush is so gentle and it TOTALLY transformed my hair life.

Is there anything you're loving lately? I'm always on the hunt for great new products to try and would love to know your faves! xo
